Ben Donnellon

After graduating from Ithaca College, Ben joined Shoot The Moon Productions working for Dan Klores, director of Crazy Love (winner of 2008 Best Documentary, Indie Spirit Awards). There he worked on the documentary, Black Magic, which aired on ESPN in March, 2008. In the fall of 2007, Ben served as Assistant Production Office Coordinator for Faster, a feature-length documentary about a man’s sixty day fast. After that he traveled the West Coast shooting webisodes for the Israelity Tour, featuring the top selling Israeli rap artists, Subliminal and the T.A.C.T. Family, funk sensations Coolooloosh, and New York’s own singer/songwriter Michelle Citrin. Over the last year, Ben has shot short documentaries in Israel, Morocco, Ukraine, and New York. He has directed five music videos. Two for The Middle Eight and The Blaire Reinhard Band, and one for Coolooloosh in Jerusalem, Israel. He’s currently the Director of Photography for a feature length experimental film, Nightmarriage, directed by Joe Kavitski. Ben is also a chapter co-leader of The Brooklyn Filmmakers Collective, a weekly peer workshop of independent filmmakers from the Brooklyn area.
